The Press reports that York Minster is planning to open its doors to the public on Saturday the 9th January until midnight.

The evening is intended to offer tourists and locals a chance to see the Minster in a different way - the evening will be enhanced by a number of art installations as well as vocal performances and organised "hidden minster" tours.

I'm imagining gothic stylee ambient chillout. Hey, and its free to York residents. Normal charges apply for non residents.
