York sees the arrival of its Christmas market tomorrow. St Nicholas Fayre as the event is known offers a 4 day extravaganza including a Craft Fayre, a Medieval market, Carol Singers and Victorian market stalls.

The main site of the Fayre will be centred on Parliament Street, Coppergate and St Sampson's Street and promises to attract thousands of shoppers.

The event has been organised by York City Council and is the ideal opportunity to find unique, handcrafted and unusual gifts.
