Every year, usually before and after Xmas, York floods.

This has happened since time immemorial and is not really news - unless it is a particularly severe flood or affects more than just those riverside businesses like the Kings Arms that have grown accustomed to the annual deluge.

But it always interests me, and now my girlfriend too. She had her walk to work restricted this morning. Maybe we need to get out more.
