Hotel in York

Whetherspoons Hotel & pub, a bit of a non starter in the local atmosphere department as it is somewhat anodyne as you would expect from a large chain pub/motel.

Where it does make up for it though is with the prices and the location. Beer is cheap as is the food. The latter is somewhat variable in quality, though the breakfasts are damn good (and inexpensive).

The place is located next to river and the Fishergate Postern Tower, a great setting for a summer afternoon.

Gets a bit rowdy come weekends with various hen and stag parties.
